anyone had a cerclage

Hi there
We are embarking on having our second child but my fusrt was 9 weeks early so have been told we will have to have a cerclage
has anyone had one to advise me how it went and if you have to rest the whole time as Im worried as to how I would look after my first
best wishesxxx

I just had one put in a couple of weeks ago when I was 13 weeks but this is my first one so I really don't know how things play out. I've heard many success stories about it thought. The procedure wasn't bad at all, they did a spinal block and that was the worst of the procedure and then I was on bed rest for a week. I have to go back to the specialist every month to have a sono to monitor my cervix. Other than that I was able to go back to my normal activity with no restrictions. I hope this helped alittle.
