I could totally do some now... I'd probably go for some tuna sushi. My favourite is def salmon, but I'm avoiding it (there isn't any sushi worth eating around here anyway...) and I almost never eat tuna so I don't feel guilty for having it in sushi! Ohhh, my mouth is watering...
It depends on ur taste in sushi but I like the chicken teriyaki rolls, kappa (cucumber) and occasional dynomite/ crab roll. For the most part sushi restaurants where they are clean are ok to eat and it shouldn't be a problem. Best to stick to cooked or veggie rolls and avoid raw fish, the possible trace amounts found in the kitchen are unlikely to harm you.
Now I want sushi!
I've been craving the whole thing - that rice/fish/wasabi/soy combination. I could eat it all day.
I've actually had it 3 or 4 times - I have mainly been sticking to the rolls because there is so little fish in them you would have to be very unlucky for it to cause any problems. Yesterday I got taken to Zuma, one of the best Japanese restaurants in London, by a supplier and we asked the waiter to just bring dishes he recommended so I had sushi, seared salmon, seared beef, softshell crab, rare duck breast....... Very naughty but so yummy!
I've been told cooked sushi is fine, so I eat that all the time. California roll and eel roll... yummy! (BTW I found out eel is always cooked, which is something I never knew.) I've alse seen shrimp tempora rolls which are good as well.
