Heavy brown discharge *tmi*

Just when I had stopped worrying in this pregnancy after bleeding through the first tri something else comes along to worry about. Yesterday I had quite a lot of brown discharge, nothing when I wiped but was noticable on a liner. This morning I felt wet straight away when standing and just had loads of brown discharge when I wiped with a tiny spot of blood. Has anyone else experienced this recently? I have a dull stomach ache but I think that's from constipation! X

Yeah go see your midwife I think to make sure but..... in first trimester, and I know this is tmi, but when I was constipated and pushed too much I upset my cervix which was eroded, and I got brown discharge and bit of blood. so that's what it probably is but you need to make sure x

Please call your midwife or Triage unit at your hospital, there is no way we can give you that kind of reassurance on here sorry, I don't want to worry you and hope all is fine.

Please let us know how you get on.

XO XO R.

Defiantly call up the hospitals labour ward kellie (number in back of mat notes) and tell them. You dont want to leave it unattended, even if it stops. Let us know how it goes, they will most likely want to see u x

At 10 weeks I posted something similar on here. The other ladies encouraged me to see my midwife/doctor. I also checked on a few websites which suggested doing the same.

I went to the hospital and the doctor said the ultrasound technician was right next door to his office and she was leaving in 5 minutes. He managed to grab her and convinced her to squeeze me in in right before she left. So I ended up seeing my baby at 10 weeks on the ultrasound. Its little arms were moving! And we saw the heart beating. The doctor said that bleeding can happen during pregnancy and sometimes it means miscarriage, sometimes it means nothing. But I'm so glad I went. I love that they gave me peace of mind. I hope you have a good experience, too!

I was told bleeding is normal. Well that is BS. My doc felt bad for telling me that cuz i ended up being taken by helicopter to a nicu hospital cuz i was in pre term labor
Now brown blood is the color u would want because its old blood and nothing would b currently active but u still need to b checked. I did that at first and weeks later i had bright red blood and clots. Its nothing to mess with period. Always get checked! My doc had me feeling like i was over reacting but then look what happened. ESP if its a lot of brown discharge and u hadn't recently. Had sex .

Thank you for all your replies, I have finally ventured out for the first time this week and just got home and seen your replies. All day I have had nothing, and have returned back to normal pregnancy discharge. If it happens again I'm going to be straight on to my midwife. I'm noticing the pattern now of these bleeds happening every 4 weeks, it's like my body still doesn't know 100% I'm pregnant! I just can't wait to get my boy here were I can see him!

Thanks for getting back to us, are you sure you shouldn't just report it to your midwife to be on the safe side???
