will having the cold affect my blood test today?

Hi all

This may be a silly question but I have an appt at the hospital this afternoon for my bloods to be taken (downs/spina bif tests). I have managed to catch the cold from other half and feeling quite rubbish, can this affect the test in anyway or am I just worrying for nothing?

I would think you will be ok - although they may ask you to have it done in a week if it will affect it, but I can't see how tbh. x

I would have thought it would probably affect your white blood cell counts but they're used to seeing that and probably wouldn't even mention it to you. If it worries you, you could always just mention that you have a cold beforehand. Hope you feel better soon!
