baby measuring small at 22 weeks- anyone else have this and it turn out ok?
didnt seem too drastic- head is at 21 weeks and abdominal circumference is at 21+ 5 even though I am 22+ 3. but she said it could be a variety of reasons and she did seem a bit worried. looking for anyone with similar experience...
I haven't had any direct experience, but online there is loads of people this has happened to, and they all seem to be fine Some babies are just naturally a bit small, and even those that measure small at one point often catch up later apparently. But even if your baby doesn't catch up, it's probably fine And the difference doesn't seem that big - I've read about some babies being 2 weeks or even more behind an being totally fine! And of course it could be that you concieved a bit later than you thought? The first scan's measurements can be pretty inaccurate, so it might just be that
My baby is a little small I was told! They said "he's a little small but he's still in the normal category" sooo I took that as a good sign. Also, how small are you? Im really tiny so they said him being small was expected. Since day 1 I've tried eating as much as possible (I was really underweight when I got pregnant) but I wasn't going to let that affect my baby! I was determined and ate as much good food as possible, and thought I was doing well according to the scale! But I was a little discouraged when they told me he was small. Luckily, he's still in the normal and I know I'm doing everything I can to keep it up! Some babies can just be small they all grow a little differently!
