Im terrified of premature labour :(

hi ladies, this is more of a worry thread than anything else lol!

im just so scared of going into labour very early, i really didn't think it was as common as it seems to be i keep hearing stories on the TV and online about how mums have gone into labour at 22 weeks and after, why does this happen? and is there a chance it could happen to me

im 21 and this is my 1st baby (ive had one miscarriage very early on) i have had no bleeding/spotting or any kind of pain throughout my pregnancy i dont over exert myself and i rest a lot of the time, my little girlie was right on target at my 20 week scan this week and the ultrasound tech and the midwife said she is perfect i have an anterior placenta and i know this doesn't cause problems, it just means im not feeling her move much i still use my doppler everyday though and listen to her lovely heartbeat, which means she's doing great in there, so why am i so afraid of her coming early?!?

im too scared to go out and buy anything big incase she does come and doesn't survive, and i know that after 24 weeks she does have a strong chance so i'm trying not to shop till then!

anyway does anyone else worry about this, and should i just stop worrying? thanx girlies xxxxx

I think its all to do with your natural instincts kicking in, my mum says whenever I worry about things like this that its the baby preparing you for the next 18 years plus of worry!

Sending you big
