Overweight pregnant women...

I was about a size 16 before I got pregnant. My bump is growing and growing but it's still two bumps. I kind-of had these two rolls on my front before I got pregnant and now they are growing out, and the dip between them is getting shallower, but it still looks like I have a big fat belly instead of a baby bump.

UGGG!

I'm a cashier at wal-mart. I dont know if they have those in the UK, but they sell everything. The customers are HORRIBLE. Today one made me carry 5 dog-food sized bags of rocks to their car one at a time. MY BELLY IS HUGE! IS IT NOT OBVIOUS I'M PREGNANT?! No I guess not, It just looks like i have a huge fat flabby belly!

Every time I tell people I'm pregnant they are like "Really?!" My belly used to be WAY smaller than my boobs. Not I can't see my feet! my legs and arms and butt are much smaller! I want all the pregnant woman fawning!

Sorry rant.. When will my "bumps? turn into a "bump"?!

I was a 16/18 prepregnancy and I totally understand having two bumps. But, I am told that it will round out at some point; I am 17 weeks currently. As far as carrying heavy packages, would the customers understand if you told them you were expecting? Would the managers be upset?

I'm too much of a pushover to say anything.

hey hun..

i was big before i got pregnant, and altho my body started changing shape around 18/20 weeks, i didnt get a "proper" bump till about 29/30 weeks..

and dont be afraid to tell people your expecting so you cant lift their things for them...!! being pregnant is meant to be the time you get to say things like that and no-one will judge you because your allowed to moan! hehe!

I'm only 15 weeks and have been praying that I'll look pregnant, not just fat. I found a shirt on motherhoodmaternity.com that says "BABY" with an arrow pointing down. I thought that might help LOL

I'm a size 16/18 as well, and i had the lovely double tummy for a while too. Ive finally lost it about, maybe 3 weeks ago? But since then everyone (regular customers&co workers) say "ANY DAY NOW?!" and like to remind me I'm the size of a house.

I'm an assistant manager at family dollar, so i know how it is having to comply with crap people. And I believe that ASDA is UK's equivalent to Walmart. When people expect me to help with their giant bags of dog food and lift heavy items, i say I'm pregnant so ill carry your light things, and if that doesn't work ill call a cashier to help them. I used to be very nice, and help help help, but this pregnancy has really helped me speak up for myself

So hang in there girl

Hi i was a UK size 16 before i got pregnant. So i know what you mean about the two bumps on our stomachs. I noticed for the first time a week ago that my bump has really rounded off now. I cant see it being long before yours does the same. You know you mentioned about carrying heavy things in youre workplace. Youre manager should have done some kind of a expectant mothers risk assesment and that should state that you are not to be lifting anything heavy. Hope this helps and if the customers are still asking you to lift heavy things just say "Sorry i cant lift them as im pregnant but ill ask for another staff member to help instead". Hope this helps, good luck xxx

this is me also, i cant believe how rude some people are. so i know how you feel.

We have Asda here which is part of wal-mart

your manager shouldnt be letting you carry heavy items... next time maybe call someone who can do it and explain your pregnant so you cant...

I was also a size UK16 pre-pregnancy and my bump is rounding off now. My customers in my shop are commenting on my bump all the time ans asking when I'm due. I tend to wear tight fitting tops as this shows off my bump more.

Regarding the growing part, I feel repulsive, won't let me Hubby see me naked. I feel like my arms etc are expanding as much as my bump and I feel hideous but I keep telling myself its all for the baby, it will be worthwhile!

Your Managers shouldnt be letting you lift heavy things, I agree with cs22 just explain your pregnant but you will see if someone else can help.
