HI! I'm new, and having worries. :(

Hey everyone,
I'm new here. Im 19 and pregnant with my first baby. I just decided I would join because I need others who can relate with me I'm 14 weeks and 3 days pregnant. In the beginning, I was having all these worries about the baby. Is my baby going to be okay? Is it going to form properly? etc. I just kinda pushed that aside because there's nothing i could do about it. I go next thursday to hear the heartbeat, and the worries are starting to come back. What if there's no heartbeat? I can't possible deal with something like that. i want this baby more than anything it seems like. Am I overreacting?

Nope...we all go through that. But you were right about not being able to control any of it. As long as you're taking care of yourself and doing everything the doctors have told you to do...you've done your best. We all have those worries so you're not alone in that.

I'm sure everything will be fine and you're little one's heart will be pitter-pattering away. It's a wonderful thing to hear and it'll put your heart at ease.

Welcome to the boards!!

Welcome to B&B

I'd say it's normal to worry. I've had 2 kids and I was nervous every time I went to hear the heartbeat, for scans etc. I guess it's good preparation for the next 18 years or so

Worrying is totally normal!! I worried right up to 20 wks but now I've learnt you just have to enjoy the experience. There's nothing you can really do so you may as well make the most of everyday! Just be as healthy as you can and I'm sure everything will be fine xox

im a terrible worrier as well hun. i worry about everything, not just the baby. i think its just my personality. lol

But i just wanted to reassure you, that your stronger than you think. I went for my 12 week ultrasound with my first pregnancy only to be told the baby had no heartbeat. it was awful, but you do get through it. it takes time but now im 25 weeks pregnant with a healthy bub and it just makes you all the more appreciative.

That being said, im sure everything is fine with your LO. When you start worrying, just remind yourself that millions of women have been there and done that with no problems before you, and theres every reason to think that you will be exactly the same. Thats what i do anyway!

we ALL worry
I am the worlds worst worrier - husband always says I should be more positive but I figure if I look at the worse that could happen then anything better than that is amazing!
I have worried and still worry throughout this whole process- this is my first baby - I still worry now that although we have ben given all clear and baby seems to be perfectly healthy, that I will find out something is wrong in 2 weeks at the 20 week scan or I will have it and it will die or something will go wrong, its terrible but there you go I think for me it just shows how although I have always been a hard nosed career woman THIS right now is THE most amazing and rewarding thing I have ever done and I even said to hubby the other night even though I am suffering badly with this pregnancy, "So shall we have another one about 6 months after this one" as we both want 3 children I reckon have a couple first so I am not going back to work straight away I might as well make the most of it! Hubby nearly passed out "Are you sure you dont want to go back to work"...me" Yip" Hubby "Wow you really have changed I love you!"
