well yesterday in the shower i noticed a lump in my boob, i check quite often so cant have been there all that long. I really am trying not to get worried as there are obv things going off in the boob area when pregnant, but this is rather hard when my mum died of breast cancer. I hate my doctor and would much prefer to wait until i see midwife (a week tues) but what do you ladies think. Should i be worried and just go to the doctors, or is there less scary explainations for a lump, that can probably wait a week?
one of my friends had a lump in her boob and it turned out to just be caused by hormones.. being pregnant theres a high chance it might be something like that, but if you are really really worried, i'd go to your doctor hun, better to be safe than sorry. good luck
Never take any chances, get it checked out at the first opportunity you have! It could be a million and one different things but don't waste any time, get it checked straight away And well done for checking your boobs regularly, I think I could learn a thing or 2 from you! xxx
hi, i found a lump last year and had to have it scanned but was told it was just hormones that caused the lump , and since that its gone and came back and gone again, I requested to see a female doctor as i didnt like my doctor either. xx
I would go to the docs ASAP just to put your mind at rest they might send you for an ultrasound scan on your boob as they did with my breast lump.
In fact i am going on monday as i have found a lump in my boob i am not worried as i had a breast lump removed about 9 years ago and my lump is in the same place so i am assuming it is just scar tissue.
Like you i have a high family rate of breast cancer and better to get it checked out
I've had lots of lumps in my boobs, always during pregnancy, and it's always turned out to be milk ducts or something similar. If you have family history and are worried, definately get it checked out. You dont have to see your regular Doc, you can be seen by anyone in your surgery. I wouldnt bother with a midwife, as they would probably end up referring you on anyway. Fingers crossed its just your boobs milk producing and nothing else.
