I keep reading people's posts on here and everyone seems to be going to the midwife regularly which is worrying me as i have only seen my midwife once so far at 15 weeks then am not due to see her again until 25 weeks this worries me anyway that noone is checking my health for 10 whole weeks is this normal... i also had a difficult pregnancy with my daughter i had pre eclampsia so should i be getting checked more than i am anyway? i had a lot more appointments with my first baby even before i was ill.
I saw my midwife at 10 weeks at home, then 16 weeks when I had my bloods done, again today at 22 weeks, then I dont see her again until 34 weeks, then 39 weeks, then 41 if I get that far! I do have to go into hospital at 28 weeks for my GTT and Anti-D jab, but I wont actually see my midwife if that makes sense?
With my first and second, I saw the midwife a lot, lot, lot more... they must think I'm an expert now or something.. hardly, its been 7 yrs since I last did this!!
thanks maybe its not as bad as it seems then! i don't have a counsultant til i'm 34 weeks all being well and thats only because i had a c-section with my first so don't see anyone other than the midwife until then i thought they'd do the standard checks like blood pressure and urine at my scan at 22 weeks but apparantly they won't... i feel a bit left on my own to be honest especially as they said they'd be all over me in my next pregnancy when i had my first
