Will Baby have Dimples!?!?!

Hmm so I am not the best at googaling and didnt do Bio in school. Me and OH both have pretty pronounced cheek dimples. What are the chances of baby having dimples too?

I'd say pretty high. I'm not sure how the dimple "gene" works, but I imagine its the same as tongue rolling, so if both you and dh have big old dimples, I imagine LO will too! My nephew's dimples match mine identically, in fact he looked just like me when I was a baby, so I am pretty sure it is a recessive/dominant gene thing rather than just a random thing.

I'd imagie pretty high. My husband don't have them, and I only have one, but my son has 2 big dimples. Ahhhh baby dimples are the best! I get so many positive comments on them

Aww I hope so! I never really liked my dimple, always got lots of comments on it (positive ones) but I've never been crazy about it. Then I met my OH and he has one and I think it is soooo cute / sexy! I hope the babes has one. Fingers crossed

Dimples are a "********" muscle, which is why they aren't always the same on each cheeck (or one on one cheeck and not the other). (and by ******** I don't mean any offense, that is really what they are called in most text books).

There is a chance, but there is a chance that he/she won't too. DH and I both have dimples and so do our kids, but DH's sister and mom don't.

My daughter has dimples on both cheeks, but my husband and I don't have them! None of our immediate family members have them either.
They are so cute, I hope this next baby has them too!

Huh, I'm kind of suprised. It's suppose to be the second word in "mentally re....". In the case of a re... muscle it isn't to offend those who are mentally re...!
