Measuring too small :(

Has anyone else experienced this? I am 26 weeks and today my Dr. told me that I am measuring too small; he is going to do an ultrasound next week to make sure wverything is ok. Anyone?

I am not sure if I am measuring small (my OB doesn't measure with twins) but I know I look smaller than most moms of singletons at the same point. I wouldn't worry until after the ultrasound because as long as the baby itself measures the right size its not a big deal. It could be you are more wide than high (they measure uterus size by fundal hight, not how wide it is)

My sister is tiny, and when she went in for her 39 week appt, she was measuring 36 weeks. They had her come in for an U/S, and they measured her baby weighing 9 lbs 1 oz! So, try not to worry. Some people are just small, but just because you are small, doesn't mean your baby is small

Try not to worry. I just read a blog post about this and apparently babies grow in spurts. One minute they're measuring a week behind and the next they're right on track.

I always measured small with my DD. At 40 weeks i measured 34. I had lots of ultrasounds and everything was fine! She was born on her due date 6lbs 15 oz. I think she was just really low in my pelvis early on.

I'm the opposite, I'm 17 weeks measuring 19 weeks. I though "oh no" my OB said 3 cm above or below is ok . . . He was not concerned. So hopefully everything is ok with you and your baby

I was told 3cm either way also. At my 24 weeks appointment I was ahead by about 2 weeks, although she didnt measure just went by feeling as they dont measure here until 28 weeks. Then at 28 weeks when she did measure I was measuring 27! It was all to do with how baby was laid and she wasnt worried. Measuring is so inacurrate as everyone is different. I am sure everything will be fine and at least you get to see LO again!
