Honestly I was beyond gutted when they told me i'd need a section (she was breech - nothing to do with the excess fluid), but once I knew the size of her. Phew!!

The joyous GTT, have you had it before? That drink tastes gross lol, but it was the wait afterwards that killed me.

I'd ask for a scan so they can see what's going on in there
What is polyhydramnios? It seems a lot more women are measuring bigger than there dates. I measured a little bigger with my 1st son but not this much
It's basically too much amniotic fluid. It can signal that something is wrong with the baby (not drinking/peeing) but not necessarily. Most of the time it is for unexplained reasons. Mine was unexplained. I had so much water they could barely feel the baby lol and she was a whopper at 9 lbs 9 1/2 ozs. Seeing as you already have a scan coming up I wouldn't worry about it, if you didn't i'd definitely push for one. My hospital were furious when I suddenly got referred at 37 weeks for measuring ahead. They said it should've happened a lot sooner.
i had this-i measured 48weeks by the time i was 37 weeks

baby and birth was fine she was a lil heffer weighing 9lb 3

Now lucozade I wouldn't mind! If I end up having a GTT this time, i'm going to be requesting that instead!!

Fingers crossed you get to have lucozade this time but even more so that you wont have to have the test done

Wow that is crazy! She never measured me today just hazard a guess! I will get measured next week hopefully.

I know 9lb 3 and 9lb 9 are not overly mahoosive but they are still big enough. It will be interesting to find out how big our babies are this time around
