Weight gain - I know it's daft but beginning to dread the scales

Since 26th June until today 26th July my weight has increased by 2.7kg about 6lbs. Is that a lot for a month, from 17wks+1 to 21wks+3?

Am I being daft? It seems to be rising at a mad pace just recently. I'm eating healthily and walking everyday. Is this inevitable or should I cut back?

I wouldn't worry! It doesn't sound like a huge amount to me. If you're being healthy that's what matters

My weight has been fluctuating like crazy. First 10 weeks I gained 2lbs, then by 12 weeks I went down 7lbs (so less 5lbs than my non-pregnant weight), then at 13 weeks i was back up to my pre-pregnancy weight and then 2 days ago at my midwife appointment I dropped 8lbs.

All on the same scale!

Im the same way, Ive had serious problems not gaining weight and Im eating super healthy and exercising like crazy lol. Dont feel bad. I gained 10lbs last month. I about fainted at the doctors office when they weighed me. I couldnt believe it. Doctor told me not to worry, Im doing everything right and its probably water weight. Its hard to not worry about it, but...if youre being healthy and active, thats all you can do GL

Thanks for the replies everyone. Guess I'm just stressing at the mo. Although when I turn over in bed my bump feels heavy and it's visibly getting bigger so it has to be reflected on the scales. Having struggled with weight and seem to be constantly on or starting a diet for as long as I can remember the increases in the scales do not sit easy with me. considering I'm just halfway, I think I'm going to continue to find it difficult. The sensible part of me does not want to harm my baba in anyway, either by over or under eating but am fearing the weight gain more than is normal. In a way I feel it's lessening the joy of being pregnant.

I gained nothing for 11 weeks and then gained 8 pounds in the following four weeks. It really is maddening!

I wouldn't worry about it Hun, it's not a lot of weight and as PP's have said it does even out. Baby has a big grow from 16-20 weeks as well, then slows down for a bit.
I know what you mean about the scales, I've put on 16lbs since I fell pg and am freaking about it, especially as I'm supposed to be putting on 1lb a week from now on lol. I'm eating well and not stuffing my face but at the scan the sonographer said bubs was looking on the larger side so felt a bit better after that! As others said you might find you don't put any on for a while now x
