Mood whilst pregnant effecting mood of baby??

This might be a silly question, but does the mood of a woman whilst pregnant effect the mood of the baby?

I know quite a few mums and there seems to be quite a big difference between babies who's mum's had a great "easy" pregnancies, compared to those who hated their pregnancy. All the ones who took everything they read for gospel and were really hard on themselves and almost hibernated during pregnancy have ended up with more whiny children. Then those who almost acted as though they weren't pregnant at all have the happiest children I've ever met!

Is it just a coincidence?? xxx

I've not been taking too many thngs as gospel, yet I have been rather stressed due to the disappearance of fob and having barely a penny to get by on. It's gonna be a mixed up kid...

stressed pregnancy = v.happy child

Calm pregnancy= v.happy excellent sleeper

So dont think any of its true just the perception of the person having the baby,

i thought that if you are chilled out with the baby when you have had it, the way you act around it then it will mean a calmer baby. didnt think it affected the baby when its inside you if you were stressed!hope not cos i get stressed all the time at work!

should have worded that different, i didnt mean stressed in terms of everyday stresses etc. I have often read severe anxiety in pregnancy can cause a stressy baby.
Hope i havent caused any worry!!
