Hmm I've developed a pain in the bottom of my back that goes down my bum and my leg. It's more painful when I'm half laying, half sitting but it's ok when I'm standing. However, sometimes when I stand up quick, the pain bolts through my back! Not sure what mine is either... xx

When you become pregnant the pregnancy hormones make all your muscles and ligaments relax in preperation for birth... your pelvis is held together by a ligament which unfortunately becomes a bit more unstable during pregnancy (which causes the hip, bum, thigh and even tummy pains)... sometimes you can just can mild pain all the way through, although it can get bad enough to mean you have to be on crutches towards the end of your pregnancy... its definitley worth mentioning to your midwife as she may recommend you have physio and a band placed around your hips to support them..

In pregnancy club on this forum there is an SPD thread with some tips on what to do to make the pain more manageable and how to move properly when you have it (basically things like sitting on edge of bath to get in a and out - that sort of thing).. xx
