I'm not sure if what I'm feeling is baby or muscular. I don't know what "flutters" would feel like but I feel like a pull or a quick jab like pain? I always just assume muscular or ligaments. I'm 17 weeks.

I didn't know what flutters were either initially. It was the kicking that clued me in. Felt like tapping the tip of your finger against your low belly or like a muscle twitch. Flutters, I realized after that, feels kind of like gas moving through your gi system except it's in your low belly and doesn't result in a smelly aftermath, hahaha.

I actually feel like I'm feeling the "flutters" this afternoon. It's right where my bump is forming around the bottom of my abdomen it's just so hard to say it's 100% baby!

I felt tiny flutters this time around 13w. Definite kicks around 15 weeks and consistent movement from 18 weeks on.

I felt movements very early on with this pregnancy! 10-11 weeks and very occasional maybe once a day or every two days ... however, the kicks didn't happen till 20 weeks ! And I felt only two kicks that whole week .. then there was 21-22 weeks where I panicked that he wasn't moving but I felt kicking to my back if u get what I mean .. which felt just like gas (his position was facing my back).. anywho, to be honest for me , the real fun big kicks did not happen till the end of week 23

I also asked a similar question when I was 18 weeks because I was surprised I hadn't felt real kicks

Thanks, that makes me feel better. I'm now about 17 and a half weeks and the movement is so sporadic. I just thought that after almost 4 weeks I'd be feeling more movement or stronger movement or something!!! I THINK I feel the quickening almost every day but being a ftm I couldn't tell you for sure if it's quickening or just my bowels gurgling, haha. So I'm basing this on the kicks I feel. About 3 days ago I felt a TON of movement. It was like there was a dance party going on in there!! But since then I haven't felt much of anything unless I'm absolutely still and quiet and focused on feeling something. And even then I'm not sure. I have my next mw appointment in 2 weeks so I plan to ask then but since I have no other concerns I didn't want to call. After all, 17 1/2 weeks is still early and I'm thankful to be feeling movement at all being a ftm!
