Braxton hicks?!

I'm 19 weeks and 5 days and I'm getting a tightening squeezing feeling in my lower stomach where the baby is. Could it be Braxton hicks? They feel constant and they're uncomfortable. Should I maybe go to the hospital to get it checked out?

I would call your doctor and speak to a nurse. If you don't have bleeding or any other weird discharge, it could very well be your uterus simply making more room for your growing baby. I experienced this discomfort around 18 weeks. But I haven't had any other discomfort since about 20/21 weeks. Now if the contractions are getting stronger or have a pattern, most definitely go to the emergency room.

I have been getting the same thing since I was about 16 weeks and asked my OB at my appointment last week. He said it is braxton hicks and unless I am bleeding there is nothing to worry about!

Yeah I had braxtons from about 14 weeks last time and had them the whole way through! I found it was better the more water I drank, keep hydrated and if you get a bout of them down a big glass of water x
