Bugger it all!!

Midwife today. Baby is growing well but not easy to find. Apparently each pregnancy gives a baby more and more room to swim. I did not know that. And poor Alexander. Every time she found the heartbeat the poor little dude would cry. Figure it's the reality of realizing he's not going to be the baby any more.

Glucose test ordered early due to GD with Alexander so if it shows up the midwife wants to get onto it faster this time. Headed up to radiology to book my ultrasound too. Wanted it tomorrow but of course, they are booked up for the next 2 weeks so at the moment, we are still riding on the 60% that this baby is a girl. I have to wait until Sept 19. Damn it all! I wanted it confirmed more so hubby could go shopping.

Aw, that's annoying when they're booked up but at least by 20 weeks you can be sure of a good shot. I want to go shopping too! But unlike you this won't be a joint venture I'll do it all and then hubby will check the bank account and go WHAT THE HELL haha. 😇
I'm having a glucose test in October because my cousin had GD, I didn't have one in my first pregnancy and I'm really badly needle phobic so I'm crapping myself, is it really bad?

I've just purchased a little pink capsule blanket and a 3 piece suit with unicorns on it. A friend has a tonne of stuff for me for $30 so I'm not arguing. Most of it's labeled, near new or never worn so my gain. Hubby has been waiting 10 years for his little girl so I will leave him to spend a good $200 odd on clothing. I think he's earned it with this wait! Most of my spending will go on a Harley Quinn custom made quilt, skirt and bumper set I have designed myself as well as a couple of sets of custom sheets. But hubby is meeting me at a set of sheets and half a cot so the seat is up to me.

These are the fabrics I have chosen for Kairi's sheets. Don't worry! 2 different fabrics and each one will make a complete set. Some people think it's one set with 2 different prints.

The glucose test isn't too bad at all. It's a finger prick test to start with to check sugars, they then draw blood and then it's downing a sugary and disgusting syrup (it's usually lemon, lime or orange but the flavouring doesn't help the fact you'd may as well down a kilo of plain sugar) before you sit and wait for 2 hours before the sugar levels and bloods are redrawn. I don't like watching the needle going in or being taken out as it makes me cringe so I generally look away and think of something else to take my mind off things. You'll get through it okay.

Ahh those are really original! Not all pink and white. Is Kairi pronounced like Carey?
Yeah I won't be able to look when they're doing the bloods! I'm asking my mum to come with me, DH will be at work and fortunately my son at school.

I thought the card suites where really appropriate considering Harley Quinn's love interest is the Joker. The other just so I had the colors but a different pattern.

Kairi is pronounced like 'Kylie' but with an 'r' instead. If you have ever played Disney Kingdom Hearts on PlayStation you will understand.

Good plan. I'm sure Mum will be happy to go with you.
