I didn't know if maybe at my 15 week elective ultrasound I could have been 19-20 weeks instead of 15 weeks and not being able to tell a difference in the scan especially since the woman who done it *WASNT* an ultrasound technician and she wasn't allowed to tell anything or do measurements. I was worried maybe the baby is behind in growth 4-5 weeks and the doctors not being able to tell because of baby having slow growth or maybe IUGR because i only had a 2nd trimester scan and them originally think I was 22 weeks at the anatomy scan instead of being 26-27 weeks. And me being due September 9th-23rd instead of October 14th.. I'm not very knowledgeable in that department so I don't really understand. I just wanted to know if it was possible to have conceived from sex December 11-13th and being 4-5 weeks farther along then the doctors can tell or have noticed. Maybe the baby has slow growth or IUGR and nobody noticing and maybe the ultrasound be wrong on gestational age and fundal height both just be measuring behind. Friday My fundal height was measuring 36cm and I was 38 weeks along according to the ultrasound (42-43 weeks if I conceived from intercourse December 11-13th)

Very unlikely. At the 15 weeks scan she may not have taken measuremts but would have said if you looked a month off for your dates. Same with the next scan. No one has ever said to you that they are worried about growth and your measurements and scans have always been in line for the dates they gave you. If it was IUGR or similar you would not have been progressing as you have. Stick with the dates they gave you, it's virtually impossible to be a month off with no one noticing and there is almost no way you could have got this far with no one picking it up. For every measurement and scan to be wrong is next to impossible. Why are you so reluctant to accept the dates you have been given??

I agree. It's so unlikely. You've had two scans and someone would've said woah this baby is very big for your dates. They probably wouldn't if baby was measuring a week ahead but 4 weeks and they would've noticed.
Add that to your fundal height measurement and the fact that you did have a bleed and I'd say you're 38 weeks. PLUS I'm assuming baby is still moving around and stuff, and baby would really be in trouble by now if you were 43 weeks pregnant. And it's incredibly unlikely that you wouldn't have gone into labour by now as well.

I had my anatomy scan yesterday and the ultrasound tech said their margin of error was plus or minus 10 days. It's really not possible for you to be 4-5 weeks ahead of where you think you are. Any medical professional would note and investigate a discrepancy of more than a couple of weeks - that would be a massive red flag. IUGR also looks different than just a small baby. I'm wondering why you're so worried about your dates?

Oh man, she's doing this here too???

It's January guy's baby for pete's sake! You've been told this multiple times on Babycenter, but I guess the tons of people telling you the same thing over there isn't good enough.

Ok. This makes sense now. I wondered if there could be a paternity issue. This is really mean, maybe over on baby center people aren't generally as supportive but this post feels a little like playground laughing behind op's back. Probably it should get deleted because she hadnt necessarily wanted to share with us that it was a paternity thing and that's not really someone else's "secret" to reveal on here.

To OP, completely understand where you're coming from and I had the same worries in my first pregnancy AND I had also been told multiple times that my dates and everything made it impossible, but you can't help worrying. I hope it hasn't spoiled your pregnancy too much, it kinda did mine. But don't worry, your dates really do make it impossible. As a pp said, there's more to IUGR than just a small baby and it would've been picked up. Please try to relax now. You should be happy and excited at this time. Everything is ok and you conceived in January.

I really don't think that this is anyone laughing at her and if you follow the link, you will see the original poster asking specifically about dates and possible father's on this site on a different forum. I think the other person was just exasperated that the op asked this question on multiple threads here and other sites and honestly isn't listening to the feedback given.

Follow this link to see the same question asked on a different thread on this page asking about dates --->Help pleAse!

Follow this link for another question about how long baby can stay in womb---> How long can a baby stay in the womb?

That's kind of irrelevant as for whatever reason OP had decided not to share with us the story behind the reason she was asking, which I can sympathise with, and it's really not on for someone else to reveal that on here having got the information on a different thread, and worse a different website being named.
Also lots and lots of ladies on here ask the same questions over and over again, because pregnancy is full of worries and uncertainty, but here on b&b I've never seen anyone get exasperated and only seen patience shown towards people who are still worried despite being told everything's ok.
