Anterior placenta

Found out 3 weeks ago I have an anterior placenta and it's really upsetting and worrying me because I can't feel baby moving and this is my 3rd.

Anybody else have experience with this?

I also have an anterior placenta and I am pregnant with my third. I think I have felt some flutters but can’t be sure it is baby. As baby gets bigger I am sure we will feel plenty of movement.

I seem to be the odd one out who still barely feels anything at 29+ weeks with anterior placenta. Baby is fine at every U/S... but I wonít be able to do kick counts. I couldnít if I tried.

My midwife said theyíll probably do NSTís at every other appointment later on if I still canít feel much.

Anterior placenta here, second baby. Felt flutters maybe once every 2 days till last week when I now feel a lot more. I'm now 20+4. Feels as though placenta is higher up now and not blocking the movements so much. Huge difference to first pregnancy when I had movement constantly and I used to be awake at night with baby doing cart wheels!

Yes, I have this exactly. Iím also pregnant with my third and have my first anterior placenta. Iíve felt much less movement this time around and it has given me a few moments of anxiety. I felt movements very early but they were really intermittent - I felt baby some days and then not for like 3 days after it. And I only felt the baby in certain parts of my stomach, down the left side, so if he was facing the other way I felt nothing at all. Good news is that after about 28 weeks he was big enough to kick through the placenta and I have felt him much more frequently and what Iíd consider Ďnormallyí given my experience with my past two pregnancies. Give it some time.

Yes, I had one but found out at 16w. I felt movement around week 20something. It was heartbreaking watching my man kick and play in the u/s and techs saying did you feel that?! No, I didnít ty. But eventually the movements get so big that while you wonít get the same force as others you will feel and see it so hang in there

Kick counts were hard. I had to do them right after dinner and a large glass of cold water, complete silence, on my side.

I seem to be the opposite, I have anterior placenta too but have felt this baby from very early on (10 weeks although very intermittently and could go 4/5 days with nothing) Iím now 15 weeks and getting semi regular kicks Iím feeling quite a lot. I didnít even feel my first lo until 16 weeks with a posterior placenta, so Iím very surprised that Iím feeling so much.

I had an anterior placenta with my daughter and now have one with my son, so I've never experienced "normal".

My daughter is nearly 4 and I've been racking my brain to remember when I felt her first movements. I know I was about 6 or 7 months along before my husband felt her kicks. I'm now 21 weeks with DS and there's nothing that's made me think they were definite kicks. Only once when I sneezed in the bath and he jumped haha.

It's awful, the amount of anxiety I feel is ridiculous. I went for a private gender scan and went in on my own first for them to check there was a heartbeat before my husband and daughter came in.

I'm hoping to feel something soon!
