Had my 20 week scan

Although all was ok with baby they said I had partial placenta previa.

They have booked me in for another scan at 36 weeks to see if it's moved. If not I have to have a c-section which I really don't want.

Anybody ever had any experience with this?

I asked the cause of it and they said in my case maternal age. I'm 38. Will be 39 when I have her xx

My sister had this at her 20 week appt. A scan at 28 weeks showed it had resolved. She was 26 at the time.

I had this with both of my pregnancies, both times I had later scans around 34 weeks and the placenta had moved both times. I was 29 the first time and 32 the second.

My friend had this. She is 26. Infact it was a complete placental previa. She found out at 20 week scan. Had another scan at 32 weeks and placenta had completely moved into a posterior position. She delivered vaginally at 36 weeks with no problems at all x

Oh yes hunnie I had this with my Daughter (previous pregnancy) and they did discuss at my 20 week scan that I may need a c section, I had a scan during third trimester and the placenta had moved out of the way, had a perfectly safe low risk vaginal birth (she is now 5) please don't worry too much x

Glad all is ok with baby.

I had it with my daughter. It moved with plenty of time to spare. I hope yours does too.

I have this too. I have had a few sudden gushes of blood in early 2nd tri and the emergency scan finally showed that it was caused by the slight placenta previa. I have my fingers crossed mine will move too. We have time yet
