Spotting Nearly 22 weeks!!!

I had a right panic this morning.

Went to the toilet, and when I wiped I had pink tinged CM!!

Not got any pains and never had this before in any of my pregnancies.

I got my Doppler out and heard her straight away nice and strong.

When I had my scan at 20 weeks they said I had partial placenta previa so im thinking maybe that's what has caused it. I did a quick check online and it seems its nothing to worry about.

I haven't had anymore and I can feel her moving.

Anybody else experienced this?

If it was only tinged and you've felt baby moving around I'd be inclined to say don't worry too much and just keep an eye. Movement is the most important indicator. However if it happens again I'd go to triage or call just to be checked. It's probably just your cervix been irritated for whatever reason.

At this stage I'd definitely get checked out for any unexplained spotting or bleeding, especially with the placenta praevia. Always best to err on the side of caution xxxx

I would get checked out just for the peace of mind and to be on the safe side.
Hopefully everything is OK

I phoned the maternity assessment unit and told them. They said its common for placenta previa and if its tinged mucus (which it is), don't worry.

I have to keep my eye on it, but luckily had none since.

I had this twice with my first pregnancy in the 2nd and 3rd tri, but no pain accompanied it and I felt the baby moving all the time. I hope it's nothing, best of luck to you

Yes I had some spotting during my second pregnancy about 22 weeks, I was terrified and was taken to hospital, I was told it can happen and it was nothing to do with the baby (in my case) and it can be quite common, please do go check with your midwife though, best not to chance it x

I had pink spotting at 19 weeks with my first child and rushed to the doctor. They didn't even examine me, as baby was fine. Since it was a small amount and baby had a good heartbeat (wasn't feeling much movement at 19 weeks). It was told it can happen if my cervix was irritated.

Had you had sex recently or in any way perhaps your cervix was irritated? You probably aren't having sex with placenta previa come to think of it!

With me only have partial placenta previa, they never told me to refrain from sex, I only read about that when I googled it!!

We did dtd the day before I got the spotting, which makes me think its that which has caused the spotting.

I haven't had any since and baby is doing fine x
