I hope the doctors thoughts match the biopsy results. Two weeks is a really long wait, hopefully time goes by fast for you

I hope everything comes back okay. I had to have a lump removed, right next to the areola. They ended up taking out 2 tumors (one was hiding and didn't show on ultrasound), but thankfully both were benign. I had preliminary results right after waking up, but had to wait for full results. Good luck. Waiting is the worst! and I'm glad you have a good support system. Oh, and I was not pregnant when the doctor found my lump, so not exactly the same situation since I didn't have those pregnancy hormones affecting me at the same time as dealing with this. It was emotional enough on it's own and can't image dealing with it while pregnant. I hope these 2 weeks go by fast and you get some good news.

. With my first biopsy with this nodule the results took 3.5 weeks to come back. Every single minute seemed to drag. With the second biopsy the doctor looked at the sample under the microscope then and there which I wasn't expecting but was awesome after the previous long wait. Have they assigned you a Macmillan nurse you can talk to & who can go with you to your appointments if you need?

What is a Macmillion nurse?

I ended up getting a second opinion. My first was from a breast surgery specialist, the second from a general surgeon. But I like the general surgeon a lot more. Idk why her bedside manner just made me way more comfortable. So im going with her. She is performing the biopsy on friday. Said the results will be in the latest next Friday but if they are in before that she will call and let me know... Still very nervous. I've been trying to keep myself occupied but its difficult when im not working. I also was having some intense cramping and lower back pain and the Dr found blood in my urine. They think its a UTI but told me to stay pretty much on bed rest until the results come back. Heating pad and showers to make my back feel better... Lay down with feet up. Sooooooo im bored out of my skull!!!

Any ladies who have had a biopsy, how is it? This tumor is directly above my nipple and very close to the surface. I really feel like its growing bigger as I used to. Have to press in deep to feel it and now all I have to do is run my hand over my boob.

Thank you all for your well wishes! Keep those fingers crossed... A week and a half to go...

Glad youíve picked a doctor you feel most comfortable with.
Sorry about the UTI, hopefully thatíll go away soon.
Iíve had a biopsy done, not on my breasts but on my thyroid as I had some nodules on it, the only part that hurt slightly was the anaesthetic which is like a pinch, you donít feel a thing otherwise. Hopefully it is the same way with a breast.
