Massive Headaches. Can't find relief at all...HELP

so at my last appointment, i talked to my dr about the headaches i have been getting. he asked if i was taking anything and i told him i was taking tylenol but it wasn't doing anything. so he prescribed me tylenol 3. he said it was better because it has codeine in it.
well i thought it would be like a miracle for my headaches. NOT AT ALL!!!!!
they give me no relief either. these headaches are debilitating and i don't know what to do anymore. cold rags on my head have no effect. getting fresh air is not a help. nothing seems to be working!!!

i woke up at 430am (1hr 30mins ago) with a headache. i have them all day long.

anyone else with this prob or have any suggestions? PLEASE!

Hey hun sorry to hear about your headaches . I suffer really badly with them from time to time so I know how horrible it is! Try drinking plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated, also take the tablets every 4 hours apart (or what is advised on the pack) regularly as this will give a build-up, bu of course no more than the advised dose per day from your Dr (Hope that makes sense lol). My Dr prescribed me co-codamol which I believe is the same thing as you have and it doesn't always work for me either . Sorry I haven't been able to help much but if I do find anything that works better I will of course let you know! Hope you feel better soon xxx

I know how you feel i have suffered headaches the whole way thru my pregnancy so far (altho thats the only symptom! so cant complain) I really dont think people understand the pain, its so awfull sometimes i cant even move the slightest because it hurts so much.

Its so hard to work out the triggers too, is it hormones? too much caffine? too little caffine to normal? lack of sleep? excess sleep? dehydration etc etc the list is endless.

I would advise just to get as comfy as possible, as still as possible and listen to music...! works for me a treat if i sit with my ipod in, eyes closed for an hour.xxx

Good luck

As awful as it is for us all i thought i was alone in this I had headaches with my first two but this time its unbearable! And they have two ideas as to what mine is. High blood pressure and/or anemia
There awful i really cant stand a headache at the best of times! But when i have a two year old and 16 month old to run after i could cry! Have you spoke to your midwife? Maybe just have a word to see if your anemic etc.

Good luck xxx

I suffer too. They come with tension and stress for me. But also in my temples, which is to do with my jaw and teeth.

Where are your headaches? You might be able to fathom out the reason if they are in the same spot.

Hi there,
I'm a long time migraine and headache sufferer, and for me a big trigger is fluctuating hormones, so that's messing with my head during pregnancy! For me, caffiene is really effective in getting rid of a headache because I don't normally have any. Excedrin Tension Headache is ok to take when you're pregnant. It's Tylenol (acetominophen) plus caffiene. (Make sure you check the label because there are a lot of different types of Excedrin). Tylenol in itself doesn't work for me at all either. If you can't find the pills try 1 or 2 strong cups of coffee.

I really feel your pain and I hope this helps!
