Movement 24 weeks

Another worry about movement....sorry!
Last week he really strted kicking harder and I was feeling him throughout the day then on the weekend I said to dh I think this baby is going to be active and since then I really haven't felt much at all it seems to be gettin less and less each day. Today I think I have felt one kick I'm worried because iv tried orange juice an sugary things and a cold drink but nothing seems to work.
Has anyone else had anything like this at 24 weeks?
I don't want to keep bugging the hospital

I think lots of us are going through this atm... One lady said to me ther other day that because the MW doesn't ask you to count kicks til wk 28, it's probably nothing to worry about. My little man was all over the place at the weekend, and movement has been minimal since. If you're worried, ALWays call someone though; there's a lot to be said for just knowing when something's not right

We all have these concerns, no need to apologize! There are periods of growth spurts where LO quiets down. I think movement decreased just before 24 for me, then over the past two weeks it seemed to increase, to the point where I forgot what I was ever worried for. Now, I am just about 26 weeks and pretty much freaking out because I've only felt two kicks in a 5 hour time period. I don't think the worrying ever stops, sorry to say, but then I am a worrier by nature.

Thanks for the responses :-)
iv had a listen on a Doppler and heartbeat seems fine just had a chance to relax so hopefully will feel some movement soon got a midwife appointment in Friday so going to chat to her about it then
i have an anterior placenta and I know this can cushion the movement but it's scary when you don't feel anything

Absolutely. Any kicks or movemnts I feel are really low down as my placenta is anterior too. Perhaps baby is up out of the range where you can feel it, or perhaps he or she is kicking backwards

Funny you should say this because everytime i think my babys strong active movements are here to stay he quietens down again! the weekend just passed from friday night to monday he hardly moved after previously been very active. At my check up i told the midwife and she didnt even comment on it, like it was to be expected or something, she listend to heartbeat and it was completley fine. i think as another poster said its not too concerning untill you reach around 28 weeks, if you start to feel no movement what so ever after a day or too then id call your midwife, but i think your fine hun xx

My little Pip is very active...but has quiet periods too. Between 22 and 24 weeks movement slowed down loads (either that or baby moved position) so it is quite normal. My midwife didn't mention counting kicks or anything at my 25week appt...it is 28 weeks they start really monitoring as before then it is quite common for baby's movements to be sporadic. x
