I couldn't vote on any, sorry, as my little man's heartbeat keeps changing! At his 11wk scan it was about 160bpm, and as he's gotten older it keeps changing. I really don't think there's too much to this theory but it's always fun guessing xx
Hi ladies!! I just wanted to say that allthough I had never heard about this theory prior to pregnancy I completely believe its true....during the early stages of my pregnancy I was convinced I was having a girl, dont know why, I just had a feeling but at my 10 week dr appt my dr checked the heartbeat using a doppler and made an off hand comment saying "I would guess your baby is a boy based on his heartrate, slow and steady at 132 bpm" at my next 14 week appt he was the same, 136 and again the dr told me she thought it was a boy, I still wasnt convinced so at 16 weeks I went for an ultrasound and before the technician started the scan I asked her if heartrates and gender really were related, she told me based on her experience in ultrasounds they were, that boys had lower heartrates and girls had higher ones, during the scan she confirmed....baby is a boy! I just used a doppler again today at 18 weeks and babys heart rate was in the 120's so at least in my case the heart rate did correlate with gender, Im sure thats not the case for every single woman however I have noticed it is for the majority...good luck and let us know when you find out the gender!!
