Confused about question asked at 26 week appointment

I had my 26 week check up yesterday, and she asked if i had started to be able to identify elbows or hands etc... i had no idea what she meant and just said that i feel the baby move inside more than i do from the outside...

Does she mean that elbows etc start poking out or something? Maybe I am just being really dumb but I have had no where near that kind of definition in the movements, they are still quite irregular and not that strong...

Yeah I reckon she means bits poking out. I hadn't had this until about 2 days ago. I can't tell which bits they are yet, but there are definite 'bits' poking out at various times as opposed to just the odd kick here and there.

ahh i had a horrible dream last night about bits poking out! damn pregnancy dreams!

I'm nearly at 26 weeks and I havent been able to identify any body parts. They're just sort of pulses going that I feel in my belly and then every now and then, one of them presses against the skin long enough to feel a lump for about .0000005 of a second.

seems like a strange question lol. im 32 weeks tomorrow and have never been asked that, ive never really felt "bits" either lol

I just feel glad that bubs is moving! I hadnt thought much about what was poking out where!

Thanks ladies, was starting to think i was missing something and that I should be feeling more than I am... the baby moves around quite a lot though... maybe i'll get an elbow or something soon!!!
