My son only fit in his moses basket until he was 8 weeks old, i liked him being in there because at first it's easier to have them next to you in the room with feeding and things and hsi cot bed was too big to fit in our room. It's not nessessary though and i certainly wouldnt spend a fortune on one as there in there for such a sort time. x

We origianally wasn't getting a moses basket and was just going to have the cot in our bedroom, but with my OH working nights we decided it would be better to just have a moses basket, then we could have it upstairs at night and down stairs durring the day for LO to have sleep's with our disturbing my OH x

I agree, you don't need it, but they're handy.

thanks for all ur replies I had been planning on just using the cot in our room and moving it into her nursery when she is a little older, so i think i might just stick to that seeing as LO will outgrow it so quickly and the ones i have seen here (i live in australia) have all been at least $200
Thanks everyonexx
