I'm 15 + 4 and just today I have been experiencing a strange sensation by my belly button.
It's not really a pain but feels like there is something poking in me just to the left side of my belly button. When I touch my skin where the strange sensation is, it feels quite sore and hard underneath the skin.
Has anyone else had this or have any idea what it could be?
I've had a very flat tummy before and so I've had all sorts of weird twinges and stretching going on but this is a new one.
I've had this too, I usually feel it more if I've been walking around a lot. I've jokingly accused the baby of growing a beak and pecking me (I nicknamed him Captain Beaky as a bit of a joke) I suspect that it could be the uterus and/or ligaments stretching as the baby grows (maybe someone else could shed some light on this?). However, in my case at my 20 week scan the baby had his legs stretched out fully rather than curled up, so he may have been digging his toes in (he is head down and feet up and I don't think he has moved as I'm feeling all the kicks at the top).
Location: I live in the lake district with sheep puddles and mountains
ive been having weird sensations usually when i just wake up tho... feels like baby is stampoing on a nerve from belly button to love button is how i put it... i get a few of them then they stop ive also felt him/her kick me to the left to the middle and by the cervix 2day... which is a very odd sensation i tell the lol!
Ahhhhh! I felt the sore belly button for the first time last night! Sore to ouch and felt like it was bruised underneath but also felt the "lump" sort of thing under it, too. I guess we are just being stretched to the max! Hahaha. It's for a good cause.
I'm really worried now as I've just showered ready for bed and it even hurts when I'm smoothing on Bio Oil. I've also got a slight dip in my tummy where the sore bit is. I'm sure it is just my muscles stretching and adjusting but ooh I certainly know about it!
There really is something new everyday isn't there?
I can't wait to feel the first flutters & think I'll scream when it first happens. Just hope I'm not in the supermarket haha xx
