Strange Sensation by Belly Button

Hello

I'm 15 + 4 and just today I have been experiencing a strange sensation by my belly button.

It's not really a pain but feels like there is something poking in me just to the left side of my belly button. When I touch my skin where the strange sensation is, it feels quite sore and hard underneath the skin.

Has anyone else had this or have any idea what it could be?

I've had a very flat tummy before and so I've had all sorts of weird twinges and stretching going on but this is a new one.

Thanks for reading. x

I've had this too, I usually feel it more if I've been walking around a lot. I've jokingly accused the baby of growing a beak and pecking me (I nicknamed him Captain Beaky as a bit of a joke) I suspect that it could be the uterus and/or ligaments stretching as the baby grows (maybe someone else could shed some light on this?). However, in my case at my 20 week scan the baby had his legs stretched out fully rather than curled up, so he may have been digging his toes in (he is head down and feet up and I don't think he has moved as I'm feeling all the kicks at the top).

Thank you for replying I didn't think it could be the little one digging in just yet as I'm so early still.

Although when I used my doppler this weekend the heartbeat had moved up higher towards my belly button so perhaps everything is just on the move.

Really looking forward to feeling the baby moving and kicking about it must so amazing. Although not during the night!

xx

I would say this is bubs wriggling. I felt mine from about 12 weeks, bubs loves to move later in the evening when I am laying watching tv or after a cuppa.

Feels like flutters - fast ones. It's a strange sensation! Mine is about an inch under my belly button. It's not kicks, it just bubs having a jig about! I'd guess and say that's what you are feeling x

Ahhhhh! I felt the sore belly button for the first time last night! Sore to ouch and felt like it was bruised underneath but also felt the "lump" sort of thing under it, too. I guess we are just being stretched to the max! Hahaha. It's for a good cause.

I'm really worried now as I've just showered ready for bed and it even hurts when I'm smoothing on Bio Oil. I've also got a slight dip in my tummy where the sore bit is. I'm sure it is just my muscles stretching and adjusting but ooh I certainly know about it!

There really is something new everyday isn't there?

I can't wait to feel the first flutters & think I'll scream when it first happens. Just hope I'm not in the supermarket haha xx
