Worried ... Lightheaded Blurred Vision feeling of fainting

Hi I went to the shops early this morning I wasn't really rushing or anything just walking at a normal pace looking in shops. All of a sudden on the way back to my car I had the most weird feeling started sweating and feeling hot, feeling very faint and weak like I was about to pass out I had blurred vision and ringing in my ears. This lasted about 5-10 mins. I sat in my car with the air con blasting even though its a quite chilly day today had a drink of Lucozade and then i was fine ... was very scary should I be worried or is this normal ???

Sounds like you could have been dehydrated or your sugar was a little low.

you should call midwife or GP for advice though x

I get that all the time.It could be due to anemia but mine is due to my blood pressure being too low,i have low blood pressure pre pregnancy and have this but in pregnancy due to lower pressure it worse.I can be on a bus and it suddenly happens that i have to get off,or i could be at home watching tv or in the kitchen. But do get checked out.Cos if anemia this can be treated

I actually suffered this yesterday! It's really scary. I started feeling dizzy and boiling hot and really dizzy with blurred vision. I was actually on the loo at the time! When I tried to get up I bashed my head and git a big cut and must have staggered to the bedroom where I passed out.

Went to GP who listed to baby's hb and that was fine thank god, but had to go to A&E for head wound. They told me it is common for your bp to dip and the blood rushes from your head etc. It is known as a vago vagal. It's very scary but you shouldn't worry about it, just take it easy.

Went to Docs and all is ok with baby ... my blood pressure is extremely low though and they are keeping an eye on it. Apparently due to my other health problems I will be prone to this throughout pregnancy ... GREAT!

I hope your head is ok EllieT XXX

Have low blood pressure as well, and I can't leave the house to go shop without feeling this way. Last week my vision went completely dark and I hit my head against a pole. Luckily, two security guards saw me and came to my rescue. After fresh air outside the store, I started feeling better. Sadly, there is not much that can be done to treat the condition, except to eat well and get as much rest as possible. Also, be cautious when getting up from a sitting or resting position.
