hiya girls...just wondering how many ppl u can have in the delivery room...i understand that all hospitals can be different, but is there a standard around the uk?? i would like 4 ppl in there with me lol....dont think that will be allowed!! i just want my OH, dad & stepmum and also my mum.....xxxxx
Generally 2 are allowed, but my midwife told me it depends on how many the midwife wants in there. Mine told me she's happy to have as many as I want in there to have a little party!! But I won't be doing that, lol. Ill have OH, my mum and maybe my sister xx
I wanted it to be just my husband and I but my mother in law works at that hospital and has already made it clear she will be there too, which I dont really mind either way or I would make sure I locked the door lol. I had 2 in with my son even though they told me I could only have 1. You can usually ask your dr in advance though, they will tell you how many you are allowed but I agree that 4 is likely too many.
Hey, didn't want to read and run. Sorry I can't help you out as I live in the states and I had 3 ppl in the delivery room with me. My mom was there for most of my labor and my sis and grandma got there about 30min before I delivered. This time around, I think it may just be my mom and OH since someone will have to stay out to watch DS.
