I don't ever post on here, mostly I just lurk around and read. So hi for the first time I'm 24 weeks but have been having stomach pain probably since 12/13 weeks. I told my doctor about it at my 16 week appointment, and he just chalked it up to round ligament pain and normal stretching, but it really doesn't feel "normal". It seems like it's been getting a lot worse in the last four or five weeks. It's pretty constant and hurts sooooo bad. Sometimes it hurts so bad that I walk hunched over. It feels so tight, like my uterus is literally going to explode or something if I bend the wrong way!! It hurts when changing positions, walking, even if I go over a little bump in the car while driving. The pain is mostly really low, like right in my very lower stomach.
Does anyone else experience this? I'm going to ask my doctor again but I don't see him for two weeks. I was just hoping someone else had dealt with this and what their doctor or midwife had to say about it.
It doesn't sound quite right to me but i'm no doctor. I have however been pregnant 4 times and while i've had off an on cramping and general stomach pain, it was never that constant or made me walk hunched as you say. I'd certainly get it checked. If doctor doesn't listen, maybe see someone else.
Sounds like a possible UTI. Whenever I've had a UTI I got HORRIBLE stomache pains. If it's your uterus 'tightening' could be BH, but, they shouldn't be painful. I would get checked out BEFORE your 2 week visit. Have them test your urine hun. Good luck! Make sure you drink plenty of water as well... because if it is normal streching (which, imo, I don't think it's normal streching... normal streching is periods of achiness and slight pain every once in awhile), dehydration will make if worse.
So, go get yourself checked out, and glad to see you posted!!!!
Last time I told my doctor about the pain, they checked for a UTI and there wasn't one. And I was thinking that it could be BH, but I feel like I would just KNOW what a contraction is. (This is my first, obviously, so everything is new to me!)
I just have no idea what it is and it's frustrating.
I'm 15weeks pregs, I think my baby has Diaphragmatic Hernia, it was seen on a scan but still waiting on seeing the hospital for it anyways since about 1 - 2pm today I have had pain in my tummy started on the left and it's been constant hasn't gone away nothing takes it away then it it spread to the middle and right side and still on the left then moved to my lower back and up my left side still got the pain in all those areas and sometime feel a cold sensation in the middle to lower part of my tummy and lower back... Don't know if it's nothing or something don't know if I should call the hospital or not
In my first pregnancy I had round ligament pain that hurt the most in the beginning of 2nd trimester. A pregnancy support belt really helped a lot with the pain so you might try one to see if it helps. If it does help I think you would know that this is round ligament pain. If you want to test it out before buying a support belt, tie a wide scarf snuggly around your hips and see if that gives you any relief.
I've had this since before I even found out I was pregnant (Didn't find out until 10-11 weeks). I've been off work the last few days because the pain has been that bad! I'm consultant led and my consultant was stumped. He simply said 'pregnant women get pains sometimes unfortunately and we cant always understand it. So long as you're not contracting, we're happy'... He prescribed me 80 codeine tablets and sent me home :'(
I've been in bed crying the last few days as it's been that bad! Work hate me x
