Rubbish Midwife Help! :(

So when I had my intial booking appointment with my Midwife, she booked me in again to see her today for my next check up, so off I went today with my pot of wee and all my notes, only to get there and be told no such appointment is on their system and that I am not booked in until the 16th of September!

It suddenly occured to me that as she had got my due date a bit wrong maybe she had moved my appointment but then I thought well I wasn't to know this and I have had no call or voucemails from her!!!!

So I was told to sit down and they would get her to come and talk to me, so there I was waiting for 40 mins! In which time two other ladies went in and she just ignored me!!!

Eventually I had had enough of waiting and it was eating into my working hours so I decided to go make a complaint at reception. They told me she would ring me in a minute and I could go.

SO an hour later I get a call from her saying she never booked me in for the 31st and that I had got it wrong :O So I checked my noted from her and there in her writing was 31/08/2010 so I rang back and said well you have put that down.

She didn;t even apologise, she just made me feel stupid and like I had done something wrong

I think what happened was she realised I was two weeks less pregnant than we though as the ultra sound gave a new due date and so moved my appointment but she obviously forgot to tell me and doesn't want to admit she mucked up or offer me an apology.

Some of my friends have had her before and said she isn't very good.

I asked at reception to change midwife and they said I would have to ask my current one to change but I am not asking her!

I am so confused and angry

.

iv had problems with midwifes, i changed doctors, and it was all sorted within 2 days i got to see a midwife and have a scan and ge the next midwife appointment two weeks later

my problem was i had some bleeding on the day i was ment to see the first midwife and she cancelled on me even though i told her about the bleeding didnt make me another apointment and gave me a number to call, i called this number and they said they couldnt help me so i called the midwife back and she said she couldnt help me even though i was worried and didnt know what was happening. the next day i went to a different doctors i saw the midwife that day before i had even registered with the surgery, and she sent me for a scan and check the next day at the hospital and since then i have had nothing but perfect care so id just say change doctors if you dont want to go throug hthe whole hassle

Well I am going to ring up the Doctors agin tomorrow and ask again to be changed, if they won't I am going to complain and also change Doctors I think.

It's so annoying that at this impotant time in my life I can't even seem to get given a competent midwife!

And Barrowland, sorry to hear of your rubbish experiance as well but I am glad you got it sorted
