I am just over 15 weeks pregnant and the past few days my partner has noticed my breath smells very metallic. He hasn't said it in a nasty way at all - just letting me know. Even when I clean my teeth the smell doesn't go. I can't taste any metallic taste in my mouth so was just wondering if anyone else has this?
I read online that it means I probably need to go see the dentist as it could be caused by gum problems?
I wouldn't even know what metallic breath would smell like? =S
If it is bothering you that much then yeah I'd definately go see a dentist about it, especially now as dental treatment is free when you are pregnant make the most of it lol
Or maybe you aren't having enough calcium? I'm drinking milk like no tomorrow, it helps with my heartburn and I have the benefits of extra for me seeing as bubs is taking it all!
Its just like the metallic taste u get in ur mouth when pregnant. Tho i've spoken to two of my friends who are pregnant/had kids in the last hour and they said they had the same thing & it's perfectly normal and just pregnancy hormones that cause it
