Pressurised feeling in vagina and cervix

Since yesterday I have had a weird pressure and swollen feeling in this area the baby seems to keep on bouncing on my cervix
I am so scared it's cervical incompetence
I have my 20 week scan this morning and I'm praying this is not it

I'm sure you're ok! I went to the hospital a week ago with the same complaint and the doctor practically laughed at me and said it was perfectly normal.

I had two delightful breath-catching shooting pains in my foof whilst walking the dog yesterday, must have looked comical to anyone driving past, me wincing and walking on my tip toes......all very normal apparenty.

Unnerving, nevertheless.

I have my cervix scanned, I have my 20 week scan tomorrow (bit late) and my 2nd cervical scan on Weds.

Last time I measured 51mm which is great so keeping fingers crossed all is still well. I had CIN 3 8 years ago so had a lot of tissue removed which is where the concern lies.

Hope all is well with yours, nice and long and tight!! Did they not have a tiny peek as much as they could during your scan today?

Keep us posted xx

They did not mention anything was wrong during the scan and the waters were compleely intact. Can they see if there are issues on the scan?

They would've been able to see if there was any funnelling (membranes touching the o/s - top of cervix). It usually starts to make a V or U shape if this is happening.

I wouldn't worry, the cervical scan gets a much better view, even if it is somewhat embarrassing. Doesn't take very long either.

You're very lucky that they're seeing you for a cervical to be honest so good for you, me and my MW had to kick up a right stink for me to get the first one in, (and I'm not the only one) given my history, but then I did have an arsehole of a consultant to start with who basically told me that I would have to lose 2 or more babies before he would scan me before 23 weeks!!....Disgraceful bedside manner. I have a lovely lady one now! Yay! This is probably why they have asked you to come back at another time as cx scans are a bit of a speciality and most 'standard' sonographers don't do them.

Good luck hun xx
