Too young??

Sorry if this sounds like i'm ranting..(ok, maybe i am a bit!!) but in the past 3 weeks i've been showing properly, i've had people saying, is this your first baby? when i tell them it's my third i get horrified looks and, 'you look far too young to have 3 children, how old are you?' and 'you'll have a lot on your plate!' why do these people feel the need to comment? it makes me feel like i've done something wrong for their information i am nearly 27, not that it matters, and there's no right or wrong age to have a baby is there? or am i too young to have 3 children?? please tell me what you think. xx

Why do people think they can say whatever they like when you're pregnant!?

You're not too young to have three children! It's such a back handed compliment - in that you still look young but really, what business is it of theirs!? You should be proud of yourself for having a happy growing family and ignore these people and their silly comments.

big honey

xx

I think you deserve to rant hun.

I'm 34 and expecting my first and I know I'd feel the same if people told me I'm 'far to old' to be having my first!

There is no right and wrong age to have a baby - it's more about what is right and wrong for you and of course when nature takes it's course

Not that it's anyone elses business anyway but do you look younger than you are? When my nephew was born people used to point and whisper about my sister when she pushed him down the street in his buggy. She was 22 but people assumed she was still at school!

Ignore them though - you have done nothing wrong x

There's still some old fashioned people out there, course your not to young and whats it to them anyway? I know its hard but take no notice of them hun, they'd probably say it to an older lady having her first baby xx

I don't think they are old fashioned, our grandparents had children at young ages. My grandma was 21 with her first. People got married young. They have probably just been brainwashed by the media.

Thanks girls, Starlight, maybe i look a bit younger but not THAT much!! i find myself saying, this is our last, but why should i? Three children is definately enough for me but i don't want to feel guilty! maybe i'm just super sensitive with these hormones!! we can afford to have 3 children, my two little ones are clean, happy and well fed, and very loved xx
