Hiya,
Didn't want to read and run. I don't have ME, but I have a kidney condition with associated chronic pain etc.
Hope you're not suffering too much.
Love Ceri xx

hi jesstula, i'm coping pretty well at the moment and i think most of the aches and pains are normal pregnancy ones but like you say its hard to know isn't it? i had a tough time with the morning sickness, how about you? once that passed at about 11/12 wks i had an energy spurt and it was amazing! i didnt feel ill for ages, not a whiff of m.e now i'm 24 weeks i'm starting to get really tired again and some of my m.e symptoms are creeping back in.... boooo!

is this your first pregnancy?

i'm in essex by the way, sunny colchester you?

Hi there,
I have M.e. too and this is my first one, so hard to know isn't it what is m.e. sympotms and what is pregnancy as they appear so similar. I'm 21 weeks and doing ok. Just a bit cuatious about coming into winter as that is my worst time, with the colds and flu but just doing my best to take things easy and enjoy.
Big hugs xxx

Not that I want any of you ladies to have m.e but it's so nice to here from ladies who know exactly how you feel! I hope this bit of info helps....... My neighbour had m.e for a few years and as soon as she had a baby she said she felt totally better! I really hope this is the case for us! I've had it for around 7 years, how about you ladies? By the way I'm 29, from Norfolk. This is my second pregnancy, I had my first 8 years ago, just before I got m.e. I've got a understanding little girl and a very understanding husband!!
Winter is also my worst time of year! Xx

Hiya,
Funnily enough, pregnancy seems to be a time for me when my pain and symptoms improve (this is my 4th). I'll probably start getting more pain towards the end, but so far so good. It's just the exhaustion really, which I think is more my age than anything else! I was diagnosed with my condition (Cysteinuria) at 17, so 20 years ago now.
Fingers crossed for improvements once babies are here!
Ceri xx

Oh wouldn't that be lovely if our babies made our m.e. better too. I've had m.e. for 8yrs and in my ealry thirties. It's defo nice to know we are not alone and congrats to you all on your pregnancies. There is a forum for M.e. and pregnancy called 'm.e./c.f.s parents' it has some good articles and posts but becuase it's so niche I just stick to this one but defo worth checking out. xxx

Didn't realise there would be so many of us. I was diagnosed with CFS 2 years ago, to be honest I have been quite stable for the last year, although winter is always the worst time for me. My biggest symptom is every few months or so I just switch off as I get so exhausted, I also get low blood pressure, so far I havn't got any worse since being pregnant and hope that continues.
