Bleeding at 15 weeks

I am 15 weeks pregnant with non identical twins and was admitted to hospital with a heavy bleed earlier in the week. The bleeding stopped and they could not find a cause at the hospital and we were very relieved to see two heartbeats on the scan.
Since then I have continued to lose dark brown blood throughout the week, its only small amounts and only when i go to the toilet.
I saw the midwife yesterday who did not seem concerned as she feels that it is old blood.
Anybody else had similar experienced who can offer reassurace????

Hiya hun, I'm 15 weeks and this happened to me at 12 weeks, had a red/brown bleed when I woke up one morning,I rushed to a+e thinking the worst and I got a scan the next day and baby was fine. They identified a bleed just the other side of my cervix, they described it as a burst blood vessel. Told me not to worry and sent me on my way. Since then iv had brown spotting, tje occasional gush of brown, brown cm. It had me really concerned so I made the hosp give me another scan yesterday and baby was fine, they can still see the bleed and said its halved in size from last time so to expect more of the same over the next few weeks. Had another gush this morning too. I guess the blood has to go somewhere. They told me only to worry if it was bright red and I wis filling 5 sanitry towels an hour.

If you are really concerned I would speak to you mw again and get a referal for another scan to ease your mind. I thought all sorts over the last few weeks.

I have a doppler which has also been a life saver as when I'm really worried I listen to the hb.

Just wanted to reassure u and let u know a similar story. I hope both babies are fine. Massive its not nice seeing blood but if its brown its old.

Hope iv been of some use

Xxxx

I've had numerous bleeds. I have been diagnosed with a hematoma though. eventually it will go away on its own. I haven't had any red blood in almost 3 weeks, but still have the brown when I wipe. My doctor and the specialist both seem to believe its healing itself though, b/c it hasn't gotten bigger, but a tad smaller since the last scan.

Hi, I have had 3 bleeding episodes of bright red blood: 9 weeks: medium amount, my baby was ok but we found she implanted really low. 13 weeks: huge bleed with clots and everything, my bf said it the blood loss was as if someone shot me. 15 weeks a tiny bleed, continued on bed rest. But anywho with all my bleeds I had brown spotting with all of them afterwards for weeks. I have placenta previa.
