Can someone please reccomend a doctor to do an Amniocentesis test in London

Hello there,

I am 14 weekd pregnant and 35 years old. I have decided I want to have an Amniocentesis test and need a reccoment for a good private doctor/clinic in London that does this test.

Has anyone had this done? were you happy with the place you had it done at?

Please let me know ASAP.

Hi again,

Just wanted to explain...

I am not from the UK and can't get the Amnio test done with the NHS so I need to do it privately but I don't know any doctors in London.

I could really use some reccomendations if anyone has done this with a private doctor/clinit in London?

I didn't need it done but most women I know from work have gone to this clinic, which is supposed to be one of the best in London.

If you google it's founder (Professor Kypros Nicolaides) you'll find nothing but impressive references and praises of his work.

I have had both my 12 and 20 week scans there and they're absolutely awesome. Have you had the down's syndrome test done yet? You don't say why you want the amnio done.
At this clinic, they take your blood, then you move into the scan room and after an hour they have the blood test results back and they give you the ratio there and then.

I went to the Fetal Medicine Centre during my last pregnancy for a nuchal scan. They were absolutely wonderful and I had a really positive experience. Unfortunately, I no longer live in London so was unable to go back there during this pregnancy and have been unable to find such fantastic care anywhere else.
