Armpit smell

This is kinda a weird question, and I don't think it's pregnancy related - possibly prenatal vit related, but for some reason after I sweat, my shirt around my armpits smell like cat urine...or ammonia I guess is the proper description...I know it's been like that for about a year or so, but I don't have the exact time it started smelling like that...It isn't overpowering or anything, and when I wear deodorant, it covers it...and of course I shower normally....I've just noticed it on my shirts -particularly where you can see the deodorant/sweat stains before a wash...and one of my stupid cats recently peed on a shirt after I wore it, and I think it was because she could smell the ammonia on it...Could it possibly be because the prenatals I take - like does anyone else have this? Or is it possibly something else?

i thought i was the only one! i'm sure it's not pregnancy related as I've had this issue for about a year as well (my cat also peed on one of my shirts too). I always thought it was because of my age (it started when i was 17). and then i started showering multiple times a day. nothing helped! I'm thinking it's just a hormonal imbalance. I dunno if i'll ever have the guts to ask my dr about it though.

I always thought it was my deodorant because there would always be deodorant on my shirts where it smelled...and then yesterday I wasn't wearing any (because I'd just gotten outta the shower and ready for bed) and realized it was ME...I visit the doctor today...and I have it in my questions list, but I don't know if I'm going to ask it or not....I will update either way...

She said she isn't worried about it because body odor can vary...So I guess it's normal...just a real inconvenience because the cats think it is their smell...

Athletes armpit loool. Maybe the armpit smell is down to dehydration, the more hydrated you are the less smelly your b.o is and hydrate with water not sugary juices etc.

I drink so much water that at one point I was afraid there was such a thing as too much. I've been reading that it might have something to do with how my body breaks down protein...it lets off an ammonia smell that is secreted from my sweat....but meat is something that I tend to lack in my diet so that can't be what it is for me...(I adore meat, but it's expensive lol)
