Help: worried don't know what this pain is?

Sorry for asking what might be silly question but I'm nearly 6 months pregnant (first timer) and last few hours I'm getting this tightening feeling that lasts for a second down there and then it goes away. It's not a one off, its happened quite a few times and seems to be regular. I don't know what it is though? Any idea?

I thought this was braxton hicks but looking up description on the net, these pains are not happening on stomach but down there.

this is really stressing me out.

Every time I feel pains or cramps "down there" I remember to do a kegel or two. This helps me and the pain leaves soon there after.
