flu vaccine

hey have seen similar posts before but have not read them and cant find them on here. My doctors surgery phoned me yesterday and offered me the vaccine im unsure whether to have it, do any of you ladies know any information about it? thanks

i dont know any official info,but do u mean the swine flu vaccine or the ordinary one? i read that the swine flu one had possible links to stillbirths so that was enough to put me off and ive decided against it, hopefully someone can put a link here with some more info x

im not sure they just said flu vaccine it was a message left on my phone. at the beggining of my pregnancy i asked about the swine flu vaccine and they said they were not offering it anymore as it wasnt about anymore so im guessing it is just a flu vaccine. unless swine flu is around again im not really sure

I got a letter through saying I was being offered a combined flu/swine flu vaccine. Apparently swine flu is likely to be the most common form of flu floating around this winter or something. Am trying to decide whether to have it or not at the moment. My gut says no but then I don't have any other health issues eg asthma etc that gives extra concern. I am not discussing it with anyone really apart from hubby as I expect most people I know will think I'm crazy if I decide not to have it, I'm just not sure it has been tested enough to be happy it is safe. I guess if I worked in a hospital or a school or somewhere with loads of germs floating around I may feel differently though.

I was offered, mine was a joint one, Swine and Seasonal. I had it. The benefits far outweighed the risks for me. I cant find anywhere that the vaccine is proven to link to stillbirth or miscarriage.

Ive booked mine

Ive read some horror story about pregnant woman gettin swine flu

also when i rand up the reception lady told me she 13weeks pregnant and just had the jab and defo recomends it to all pregnant woman, so i signed up.. But its completely up to you

I'm going for mine at the end of the month. I wasn't sure either but read on here that someones friend who is a doctor said if his wife was pregnant he would want her to get it so that convinced me

thanks ladies i have booked mine in for monday a girl i know of caught swine flu when pregnant and she and baby were very ill for a while . I know its possible that i might not catch it but there is always the possibilty so thankyou for your comments
