Grr boss at work!

Yesterday we was short staffed at work, three people on on a VERY VERY busy night (at a pub).
I'm preggers I CANNOT run around like I used to. The other woman (MIL) in the restaurant with me was okay but feeling ill and the other bloke was glued to the bar.
We got a lot of rude customers complaining about lack of staff so I decided to write it down in their book so they could maybe think of getting extra staff on, but low and below....

TODAY.

He wrote a really RUDE scarastic comment saying things like 'I'm sorry you had to work,' 'Next time I'll get some non-lazy staff members to work,' 'Your comments are unwanted' To me that's almost like a bully! Rather than a boss! I used to run like crazy around the pub when I could but now I'm nearly 20 weeks gone I NEED A BREAK!!

Also he's been commenting to senior staff members to the hotel next door (we are joint on) about what the staff have been writing on their staff review forms. WHEN... THEY ARE CONFIDENTAL!
Also he has made sexual remarks to me and other girls when still dressed in his work uniform and sitting at the bar but off shift.

I don't know what to do? My MIL has put in a formal complaint and I think I need to put one in to. They haven't even done me a risk assmement!! When I put in my letter over a month ago!!

OMG that's shocking, you should have had one done by now a risk assessment i mean. I got mine done as soon as I told them. I'm also a waitress and im 17 weeks along. I got sent home and left three staff in a very busy pub felt awful. but i just couldn't carry on theres a post about it somewhere on this board.

You should put in a complaint more so about not having had an assessment done .. you should not be lifting heavy trays of glasses at the very least. And mine has sortof just been added to due to my issue "stay away from the fires" it is so so hot.

look after yourself hunny xxx

omg what an arse. i kinda no where u coming from im not haven a good time at work myself. same kinda reason boss dose not give a s***t that im pregnant and i done my own risk assesmant as it was just left and left and left. im a assistant manager in a retail store she wanted me putting up bloody banners up the top of the window (im small so would a been a hell of a streach or ladders) i said 2 her i wasnt doing it. its almost like shes testing me out (she dosnt have children of her own btw)
have u spoke 2 any1 that deals with HR in ur place or do u have like a company hand book where u can find out ur mat rights and so on? if u cant get this i would go 2 the advice bureau or talk ur concerns over with ur midwife. that could be seen as discrimination.
xxx

Oh i think I've ready read your post before!
Your lucky they send you home when you can't cope, I'm expected to soilder on! It pisses me off cos they are some non-pregerant ladies there and they are so lazy and I do more, so I don't understand why he's being so unprofessional towards me making remarks about lack of staff!

You need to get it sorted. I had a problem the first time I felt like that and didn't get sent home so called the boss and it ws his wife I spoke to she also works with me and has done thejob while pregnant.. and when I went in on shift with him next time he said about it and told me it was sorted but not to take the pee.. so when I start to feel odd I tell them I'm going outside to cool down .. and that flags it so they watch me. after my visit tothe doctor today I called themto say shes happy for me to work but I have to slow it down and stay away from the fires. Duty manager was fine about it.

if they won't sort it do you have a HR dept or head office you can call ... is it a chain?

I would make a complaint higher up and ask about when your risk assesment is due. Im supposed to be having one at work but I've got to wait for a form from the midwife first apparently - anyone know?

Never heard about a form from the midwife, my friend has hers done and they did it straight away! I've asked before and they're just like 'dunno,' He's so unprofessional.

It's not as if it's unimportant or whatever, especially when it involves a job where your on your feet. I;ve done loads of things like go in the walk in freezer because I don't know until someones mentioned it.
Im at work on Sat Im gonna mention it and if I need a note I'll get one on Monday morning. I thought maybe I wouldnt get it til 16 weeks after theres been a scan etc.

Bloody useless!!!

I work in a hotel on the bar (2 nights) but mainly as a chambermaid (5 mornings).

i told my boss i was pregnant quite ealr on as i thought they might be able to give me less strenuous work - but no.

i am still expected to do everything as normal, apart from a few things like using step ladders carrying heavy things etc.

however the other day after beiing on Housekeeping by myself my boss left me a note not in an envelope just in the file for all staff to see. saying taht she thinks i took too long on my shift. with an analysis of how long she thinks each task/room should take. i.e 1/2 hour to depart a room. it used to take me 1/2 hour to do a reasonably clean room be4 i was pregnant now i'm 20 weeks how can she expect me to do the same amount in the same time!!!

i;m just waiting for her to say somethig to my face. surely this is unfair treatment if she decides to dock me time or anythin.

anyone got any advice or doing a similar job while pregnant?????
