Fever?

I don't have a thermometer but I'm pretty sure I've come down with a cold/fever. My husband is going to be bringing home some tylenol tonight, so hopefully that will help, but I was wondering if I should make an appointment with my doctor tomorrow? Or would that be overreacting?

I'm worried because I have work tomorrow, and I don't want to miss it because I have fewer hours this week. Not that it would be the end of the world if I missed; I really only work there to keep myself sane and make a little extra money.

I think as long as just a routine cold you are fine. My dr. gave me this sheet of meds you can take and under the cold section it said that most people will get a cold at least once a year and pregnant women are more likely and that it's not a big deal. Just take it easy (as much as you can) and remember to hydrate enough. Of course call the dr. if you feel extremely sickly, or if your fever is high or stays that way for longer than a normal couple day long cold.

Hope you feel better soon!!

Depending on how high your fever is.. try taking tylenol first.

When I just got pregnant I had a low grade fever and took some tylenol for it and it instantly went down!
Dont wait too long with a fever cause its not good for your baby since its already hot in the womb!
Whenever your body temp goes up it gets even hotter in there and thats not good.

Hope you feel better

Thanks for the input. That was pretty much what I was thinking, and that's usually the kind of thing I do when I get a cold. I just wasn't sure if I should respond differently because of my pregnancy. I tend to worry about everything!

Don't we all right now? LOL

Just take it easy and get to the dr. if the fever gets high or lasts too long...just to be on the safe side

Please take very good care of yourself! Colds aren't usually associated with fevers - if you have a fever, you need to take extra care of yourself including getting all the rest you need. Maybe a couple days off work would be a good idea?

I'm only working a few days off this week, and I would feel really guilty about not being there. I will see how I feel tomorrow, though. I'm taking some medicine tonight to see if that helps my fever. It's pretty low grade, so I'm thinking I might just have caught something dealing with all the money I deal with on a regular basis. (Bills are disgusting ).
