extreme dizziness

for the past month i have been feeling really dizzy, at first i thought it was probably ok but asked my doctor just in case, he said dizziness was normal in pg, since then though i have been getting worse and it is like..constant now, i can hardly walk as i feel so weak, is this still normal? i havent been having any other weird symptoms apart from such bad headaches all the time grr!

i thought it might be my iron so have been trying to eat more irony things, have vitc with iron, not have tea with iron, everything ive heard of that aids absorption of iron haha

any ideas?

Was your blood pressure fine at your last checkup?

I'd be inclined to advise your doctor again how you've been feeling.

I did have some dizziness hun, but not to such extremes. I'd say maybe get it checked out again if it is so bad xXx

I would have your BP tested and bloods checked for anaemia. Have you had much sickness? Are you eating enough?

thanks everyone, as far as i know my bp was fine last time and i havent had my blood test results back yet, will get them at my 20week scan

i havent had no sickness at all really, had a few weeks of feeling bit sick but thats it really, nothing extreme

erm, ive been eating enough i think, im never really sure cos had an eating disorder until i got preg so im never sure whether im having enough, i have cereal for breakfast, sandwich for lunch, fruit for snack and by tea i am usually not hungry so just have a few mouthfuls rice and mouthful of meat and some veg, is that enough? ive heard ur not meant to put up your calorie intake too much when ur in first half of pregnancy but maybe now is the time?

thanks for all your replies

To me that doesn't sound like loads but definitely not little enough to make you all dizzy. If I were you I'd go to your GP and get them to do a test now for anaemia rather than waiting around for your other results. It might just be a peg thing but if it is low iron you'll need to be on supplements.

Brill, I hope they take proper care of you and that it is nothing to worry about, which it probably isn't! Take care.
