As soon as my morning sickness disappeared, all I wanted was McDonald's. Most of first tri I craved fruits, raw veggies, grains - really healthy foods. Suddenly I had these ridiculously strong cravings for crap, it really surprised me. I kept eating healthy foods, but indulged in fast food too. In fact, on the way home from our scan today, hubby and I stopped at McD's for a cheeseburger.
Fast food shouldn't hurt, provided you're taking a prenatal vitamin and getting enough calcium, iron, fiber and water in your diet as well. The baby will take whatever it needs from you - if you had a REALLY lousy diet, the one suffering would be you more than the baby. I also try to remind myself (to alleviate the guilt) that a burger isn't really all that horrible - it's just protein, fat (a whole day's worth), and carbohydrates. Way too much sodium, but once in a while that shouldn't hurt.
The fires are bangin when you tell them no salt and they have to make them fresh...So you don't get reheated fries...There apple pies are on key too especially fresh...Yummmy Im about to leave in the middle of the night for some..
