Brown Bleed and Sharp Pains.

Hi, Looking for some advice girls, I'm very worried. A few days ago I hurt my lower abdomen on the side of a unit. It was sore at the time but it did stop after a few minutes. Now I am epxperiencing brown clots and have been up all night with sharp pains in this area. Do you think I might have hurt the baby. I am so worried about it. DH says it is fine and I need to stop worrying but I cant help it.

I'd give your midwife a call.

Seriously. Get checked out if you're that scared. My dh is always telling me I'm being paranoid too but when I call the doctor's office they always think it's something worth checking out. Even if it's just for reassurance. You know your own body.

Good luck!

I think you need to stand your ground and tell him that you are phoning the midwife and then you can go on her recommendation of what to do next.

Surely pram shopping can wait - your baby is more important.

You should definitely call your mw. If you are that worried, then trust yourself. As a few other ladies on here always say: when in doubt, get checked out!

If it helps, ask him if he could forgive himself if something was wrong but he convinced you not to get checked out. It's always better to be safe than sorry. One lady said her mw told her that she'd rather she call 100 times when there's nothing actually wrong than to not call the one time that she could actually help.

If nothing else, getting checked out will give you peace of mind. Stress and worry aren't good for the baby.

No offence but you know your body more than your OH and I think his attitude is a bit selfish. You should always get bleeding checked out especially if you banged your abdomen and are experiencing pain. I must have phoned my midwife about 5 times so far with various worries. Please please get this checked out, but at least it's brown blood which is old xx
