1 in 10 chance of downs syndrome

Just got my Quad marker back and was told 1 in 10 chance of DS
Already have a level 2 ultrasound and possible amnio scheduled for tomorrow ( amnio will be done if there are positive markers on US)

Anyone else get this high of a result? if so how did it turn out? Im trying very hard not to turn into a useless ball of sobbing right now..

mine wasnt downs, it was trisomy 18 (not compatible with life) and i had a 1:3 chance. had amnio and scan and everything is perfect!!!

can't allows go by those dang numbers luv. believe me, i know how worried you must be. wait for the scan/amnio before you take anything to heart. those bloods can be WAY off

thinking of you. kup .

i never had any of that done but they did find a soft marker for down syndrome at my 20 week ultrasound but she said i only have one which is the calcium deposit found in the babies heart and that i shouldnt worry b/c 1 out of 20 babies actually have this. but i refused to have the amnio done b.c the chances of miscarrying due to one is 1 out 400 and the chances of my baby having ds is 1 out of the 1000 so i passed on the amnio due to the fact that i didnt want to take a chance of miscarrying a perfect baby. but either way if my baby does have ds im going to be happy and blessed so...but good luck

Good luck and stay positive! Don't come to any conclusions until you have more tests. Sending you positive energy and hugs!
