Felt babay move at 17+1 now nothing - should I be worried?
Seems like I am always posting my problems on here so forgive me!
I felt bub move a week ago and he/she kicked every day for 5 days, now over the last 3 days NOTHING. Should I be worried?? I have my scan next Thursday but I keep having visions of baby dying etc and it's really upsetting me.
If it was only a couple of days kicking I wouldn't be as bad but 5 days in a row then nothing is freaking me out.
They say its still too early to "predict" or for baby to have steady movements but at 18 weeks I felt baby move everyday at about same times so I see your worry. It wont hurt to call and ask though Im sure they will say its still to early but maybe not!
This is why I bought a doppler. Well I bought one before baby was moving to calm fears and it was great. Now ever so often when baby boy sleeps in and freaks me out I use the doppler to check and he is always fine!
They've probably just moved position so you can't feel them. I felt very little, if anything, at 18 weeks. I haven't felt mine much in the last couple of days and I'm 27 weeks now - turns out it's just because they're breech so kicks are deep inside me rather than pushing outwards. Always call your midwife if you're worried but 18 weeks is still pretty early to feel regular movements really.
no! i honestly wouldnt be worried if i were you. this same thing happened to me i barely felt any movement for 2 days except i was 20 weeks and had been feeling baby move since 16 weeks. try drinking some cold orange juice and laying down for about 30 minutes.
I wouldn't worry. I get fairly regular movements but nothing some days. They're so tiny at this stage that they can hide themselves away. I went to hospital for some bloods last week and the student midwife tried to find the heartbeat and couldn't find it but I wasn't worried because I could feel bubs moving around so I knew s/he was still swimming around in there somewhere. They're just making the most of it while they have plenty of room to move x
At 17 weeks I went several days without feeling ours as well, after I know I had felt him!
Even up until 22 weeks there would be days where I felt nothing. I wouldn't worry either - try drinking a glass of really cold OJ and laying on your left side. Just remember that at 17 weeks the baby is still small and has pretty soft bones, so anything you felt up until this point was chance (right place, right time, and you were paying attention).
